 We currently have a position available for an Intermediate Interior Designer who is passionate about design, creative, energetic, technically skilled and has strong communication skills. In this job, you will work with a team to address the issues of our clients (style, budget, and schedule) and enjoy the challenge of dealing with sophisticated real estate developers.


Our exciting and varied projects include residential high-rise buildings, clubhouses, fitness centers, cyber cafes, commercial lobbies, sales centers and model homes. Our clients, the top developers in the country, look to Hartman Design Group for a broad range of design styles, from historic renovation to contemporary design.


Responsibilities will include:

- Design and production of interior plans, elevations and details required to create and complete interior design documents in AutoCAD and/or Revit

- Ability to complete a small set of documents from start to finish

- Design and detailing of basic millwork (ability to draft showing constructability and design intent)

- Selection and thorough research of interior architectural building materials

- FF&E material selections and specifications

- Coordination with multiple disciplines, including base building architects, MEP Engineers and on-site construction team

- Prepare for client presentations


Abilities and Qualifications Desired:

- Polite and respectful communication with clients, vendors, team

- Knowledge of all aspects of interior design from inception to completion

- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills



- Bachelor's degree from an accredited architectural or interior design program

- Minimum of 3+ years full time experience working for a commercial Interior Design and/or Architecture firm

- Revit and AutoCAD proficient

- Interior architectural experience in all phases of the design process

- Understanding of architectural and interior documents

- Understanding and knowledge of building, life safety, and ADA codes

- Strong skilled at Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and 3D rendering programs

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Certified/accredited or working toward LEED and NCIDQ
