Hartman Design Group, an award-winning commercial interior design and interior architecture firm located in Rockville, MD, currently has a position available for a Marketing Associate. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the firm's brand, help to develop the internal and external culture, affect the web site presentation and social media presence. It is important that you come to the position as a strong executor, with deep knowledge of social media, amazing computer skills, high initiative, as well as exemplary people and writing skills.

Various marketing responsibilities including:

  • Lead marketing initiatives throughout the year and assist CEO and Business Development Director with marketing objectives.
  • Coordinate the planning and logistics for multiple events (internal/external)
  • Prepare presentations for prospective clients
  • Create portfolio templates & design marketing packages for prospective clients
  • Keep track of the marketing budget throughout the year
  • Archive records of the marketing summary throughout the year
  • Manage various social media accounts and schedule future content with HootSuite
  • Conceptualize, design, and create print/electronic flyers (Constant Contact)
  • Post blogs to our website using WordPress
  • Collaborate in ad campaigns and develop marketing collateral
  • Prepare various award submissions
  • Assist in the organizing of internal and external events
  • Update mailing list and online web campaign list
  • Carry out marketing research by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data trends and client interests.
  • Coordinate and assist in property photo shoots
  • Update and manage marketing inventory for photo shoots
  • Document & retouch photos to utilize for all purposes
  • Engage in daily administrative tasks (such as emails, phone calls, etc)
  • General assistance to the Director of Business Development and CEO when needed


  • Bachelors degree in communication, marketing, or other relevant field of study.
  • 4 years of experience
  • Photoshop skills
  • InDesign skills
  • Constant Contact
  • Wordpress experience
  • Excel
  • Word
  • PowerPoint
  • Hootsuite

Knowledge and business implementation of:

  • Various social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Houzz, and Instagram)
