When brainstorming the design concepts for this mixed use residential development, the Donohoe Development and HDG design team focused on the neighborhood. With ethnic restaurants and one-of-a-kind shops on every corner, Bethesda's developing west-end has its own personality. Understanding the unique location of this community, the HDG team designed the interior spaces of this class A apartment building to appeal to a generationally diverse resident.
Floor to ceiling windows at the street level connect Gallery Bethesda's cyber lounge and fitness center with the west Bethesda streetscape. To visually engage pedestrians in this walkable community, HDG designed a contemporary and intimate interior infused with warm, bright colors. Sculptures in the courtyard, as well as throughout the building, create the ambiance of an art gallery.
Full vision glass between the roof top clubroom, pool deck and terrace, allows for a lively connection between the indoor amenities and the outdoor spaces. The HDG design team chose neutral textures with warm colors of nature to enhance the relationship. Casual and comfortable, the clubroom is instrumental in creating resort style living in this urban setting.
