Developed by Duball Rockville, LLC and managed by Bozzuto, The Upton brings a new standard of living to the heart of Rockville Town Center in Rockville, MD. This apartment community exudes modern design with just a touch of Art Deco influence as a nod to the building's façade on the Maryland Avenue lobby entrance, making the spaces truly unique and inviting.
Comprised of 263 residential units, HDG designers and architects created spaces for residents to live and mingle, using a striking color palette of gunmetal gray, black, white, and accents of deep plums and warm wood tones. Carefully curated seating vignettes are peppered around the common areas, placed near eye-drawing focal points such as large windows boasting expansive views of the city. The fitness center is a streamlined space that pulls from the same color palette and focal point.
Various textures are utilized throughout the spaces to create visual interest. In the lobby, layered wood, ranging from deep espresso to walnut, wrap the concierge desk while white and gunmetal accents work to brighten the space. In the clubroom, HDG designers used mixed fabrics of leather and velvet, sleek white tabletops, and black and white tile accents to compliment the artful pattern in the carpet, creating a cohesive space for residents to unwind. Finally, residents will love mingling in the warmer months on the 16th floor rooftop deck, designed with a palette of greens and warm wood textures to create the feeling of an enclosed outdoor oasis.
