Paradigm Companies, presented an interior design challenge to HDG. Paradigm and UBS had recently purchased two buildings (the former Warwick House) just south of Washington, DC near the Pentagon in Crystal City, VA. Renamed Meridian at Pentagon City, these multi-family apartments were not old, yet the interiors were very dated and dysfunctional. HDG's task was to re-program, re-imagine and revitalize the interiors of both buildings. The goal was to create maximum return on investment through dynamic interior design and interior architecture renovation solutions.
In Building I, HDG's interior design team fused function with sophistication in the design of the new leasing office, concierge desk, lobby and a hospitality lounge. The clubroom, previously sandwiched between floors, was moved to the penthouse level for maximize views of the Nation's Capital. HDG's design team then created a vibrant, socially active environment for parties, gaming, relaxing and hanging out. In both buildings, the renovated lobbies serve as an elegant apartment building entry as well as another socially active amenity space.
With creative space planning, impactful finishes, dramatic details and great team vision, upon the completion of the repositioning of this apartment community, occupancy increased dramatically at the new Meridian at Pentagon City.
