Flats 8300, built by Donohoe Construction, developed by StonebridgeCarras, and managed by Bozzuto Management Company, have the aesthetic of a five-star boutique hotel but with the comforts of home. Hartman Design Group successfully created a tranquil oasis for residents of this new high-rise, located in bustling downtown Bethesda, through the use of a warm, soothing color palette and natural finishes.
Every finish and fixture in Flats 8300 was hand-selected to create a sanctuary from the hurry and the noise of the city. Each of the multiple common areas is filled with touches inspired by nature. From the natural stone and wood floor and wall finishes to the leather and rattan furniture pieces, the interior spaces are warm and inviting. Against the neutral backdrop of browns, creams, and grays, regional art pieces, tasteful light fixtures, and decorative accessories add splashes of color. Sleek metallic finishes provide contrast to the rustic textures throughout.
Even the contours of the interior spaces beckon residents to come in and relax. The broad arc of the concierge desk leads residents inside where a water feature wall, capped by dark stone pillars, soothes with its movement and serene sounds. Specially-designed curved gray porcelain tiles flow elegantly from the lobby to the rest of the common areas. Comfortable, rounded furniture, and cozy seating arrangements promote leisure and get-togethers. Dual-sided glass fireplaces create gathering places for residents to socialize or to just put their feet up and unwind. Downtime in downtown Bethesda never looked so good.
